Our Breakfasts and Evening Meals
are freshly cooked using the tastiest and best local produce available. We
passionately believe produce sourced or produced locally will give you the
best taste and quality that Berwick-upon-Tweed has to offer.
Food Allergies & Special Diets
We continue to accommodate
guests who have food allergies.
Coeliac, Vegan and Vegetarian diets can all be catered for. Many of
our meals are also guaranteed “Nut Free”. Derek has a peanut allergy and
knows the importance of enjoying foods without the concerns of becoming
ill.

Our dedication to only using
local businesses for foods and products has been rewarded with this award.
Walkers & Cyclists
Every year we welcome many guests who enjoy the splendid
cycle paths and fine walks. For cyclists we have limited space, but we do
have a covered and secure area for cycles.
 
Broadband Internet
We have fast Broadband Internet available in all guest rooms.
It is a free service providing you supply your own laptop.
Guest Information
All rooms have information
packs, and we have lots of other information available to you in our
reception area. At all times of the year there is always plenty of things
to do and see.

planning your holiday & activities.

Smoking – is not permitted anywhere in the building.
Pets – We do not have or allow any pets in the house.
Children – regrettably children under 12 years of age can no
longer be accommodated following our refurbishment.

We accept all major Debit & Credit Cards
including Delta, Corporate and Business Cards (except American Express).
Sorry due
to banks no longer providing guarantees, we now cannot accept cheque
payments for all our bookings.
Health & Safety
We
take your health and safety very seriously. We have a very sophisticated
fire detection system installed in the house with heat and smoke detectors
in all rooms and on all floors. Each floor also has Fire Extinguishers and
Alarm Sounders and if needed Alarm
Pressure Pad Switches to raise the alarm, which we hope will never get
used!!
In
case of a power cut this system is fully backed up, and we have Emergency
Lighting fitted on all floors for your safety.
Our detection system is checked monthly and serviced
annually.
We also have a First Aid Kit available if needed.
Green Tourism and the Environment
We care passionately about conservation and the
environment.
As
part of refurbishment we installed the latest ECO friendly Condensing
Boiler to heat and supply hot water to our rooms. Our public lights are set
to switch themselves off, and we recycle as much as possible.
Low
energy bulbs have been fitted to most of our guest rooms, and will be
completed throughout the house once all bulbs become available for our many
different light fittings. We want to do as much as possible for the
environment.
Local
Artists
We
have over 30 pieces of works by local artists on display throughout the
guest house and guest rooms. Most are water colours mounted and framed. All
works depict the Berwick / Borders area and we are sure you’ll enjoy them.
Things
to note
Berwick does not
have a residential Launderette anywhere in the town. Please allow for this
when staying longer with us.
We cannot provide a personal
laundry or dry cleaning service.
